As a mom, I’ve found that the most meaningful memories often aren’t tied to big events or perfectly planned days. They can be found tucked in the corners of normal routine: dinner table conversations, bedtime stories, or Saturday morning pancakes. Sometimes they show up unexpectedly in spontaneous dance parties in the kitchen, misspoken words that become inside jokes, or camping trips made unforgettable by sudden rainstorms. These experiences may be simple, but they’re the ones that shape our families and fill our homes with connection and love.
I created Chasing Moments Publishing as a reminder that these in-between moments matter. They can be easy to overlook, but they’re often what we’ll miss the most as seasons change and children grow. The years pass quickly, but when we slow down and stay present, we begin to see that the best memories aren’t just waiting somewhere down the road. Many of them are happening right here, in the middle of ordinary life. Tomorrow’s “good old days” are being lived today.
